Why Get Pre-Approved?

1. Pre-approvals act as a dry run of the loan application process. The mortgage lender will use details you provide about your credit, income, assets and debts to arrive at an estimate of how much mortgage (and property taxes and HOA fees) you can afford. The whole process may take only minutes or a few hours at most, and it is free.

2. It gives you a good idea of what you can comfortably afford so you can shop in the appropriate price range for your budget.

3. These days most sellers will not accept an offer that is not accompanied by a pre-approval letter, so if you are serious about buying a home, this is the first step towards getting you in your new home. Getting pre-approved now will save you time when you find the home you want to submit an offer on, and in a fast-paced market, sometimes you can’t afford to waste even one minute!
